And I understand what you are saying as well. In a one-on-one situation, dragging cultural narratives in and making them the focus is probably not going to help things. But talking about societal dynamics in a societal format is. It’s not these conversations that are driving 70% of women to initiate divorces. The realities of their lives are.

In the 1950s and 60s they took “mother’s little helper.” In the 1970s they stopped trying to drug themselves happy and started complaining about all the things that were making them miserable. I see that as an important step forward.
