But what you are describing isn't misandry, it's patriarchy. That's where those demands for restrictive expressions of masculinity and gender binaries comes from. Women do help to uphold that social system, but that doesn't make it misandry.

Also, saying that someone who isn't a man can't speak with any credibility on this makes about as much sense as saying that a biologist doesn't know anything about frogs, because he isn't a frog. There's a big difference between just opining about what you assume it must be like to be somebody else and being able to speak about it intelligently because you've studied it, including hearing from those who have that as lived experience.

I'm very well aware of the oppression that men face at the hands of a patriarchal system, something that I know Elle is also very sensitive to. I don't have time to write much anymore, but I know she writes about it all of the time - how patriarchy harms everyone, including men, and how destructive enforced gender binaries are. But unless you can give me some other clear examples of misandry (that aren't really just patriarchy) I'm going to keep with my assessment that actual misandry is nearly non-existent, excepty by a few fringe radical women who truly do hate men.
