I don't really understand what you are referring to here. Can you give some examples of what you are talking about?

Also, patriarchy is a social system that is about more than just a historic power imbalance between men and women. It's an entire system of social stratification where those with more traditional power (men, whites, the rich) exercise that power in order to maintain their position. Pointing that out isn't exactly adopting the same manner of exercising power, in large part because those who haven't traditionally had power still don't have enough to do that.
