Just because something doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it isn't true. It simply means that you have been acculturated into certain beliefs, which Elle here has done a pretty bang up job of challenging in a well supported way. Not all current societies have leaders and we know from archeological study of places like Catalhuyuk that they did not have any leaders. If you're more atttached to your preconceived notions than you are to truth, I feel sorry for you.
