Men mostly don't pay attention to what women say, not even their own mothers. Men have more social power, and most men only listen to other men. The entire culture needs to change, but men need to lead the way on that, otherwise we're going to get nowhere. Feminists have been saying this stuff for over 50 years already and it mostly hasn't made all that much of a dent.
