People die every single year from vaccines. Many more suffer debilitating injuries. It’s not a lot of people but it is some. How can anyone mandate that someone do something to their child which has a possibility of killing them? It makes no sense at all. In many years, the flu vaccine is only 10% effective. Many of the past measles outbreaks have been in vaccinated populations.

I’m not saying that we should all shun vaccines. I don’t want polio. But why can’t we have a nuanced discussion and more research into why certain people cannot tolerate them in the same way as most people? It’s not really new that everyone’s biology is slightly different.
