I don't know where you're getting your info, but it's way, way off base. FYI, patriarchy doesn't just mean male-run or male dominated societies, it also refers to other social factors having to do with other types of inequality and domination (vs. cooperation and egalitarianism). But even if you're talking about truly male-dominated societies, that's a very, very recent thing as well.
