What has this got to do with with anything? Lesbians are about 3% of the population. Most people are good people AND at the same time there is an epidemic of sexual and other types of violence that is overwhelmingly perpetrated my men against women - because violent control of women is a mainstream aspect of masculinity in this culture. It's not like that it actually in dispute. Refusing to acknowledge that is fragile. It's not about my personal experiences with men - it's about all women's pervasive experiences with men and the ways that the men who don't do that shit still maintain and uphold the culture that does. That makes every single one of you culpable. Women bear some responsibility as well, because we all are a part of the same society, but men are absolutely responsible for the harm because they are the socially dominant demographic and they let it happen without doing much about it - other than constantly blaming women for not taking their abuse quietly enough.

My "assumptions" about you come from reading your words and seeing how you act. Like saying things such as it's not the 1850s anymore. The fact that things are better doesn't make them OK. I don't go around dismissing and minimizing the things that men face (which are all pretty much caused by patriarchy) but you have no problem at all just dismissing women's pain like they are whining or overreacting. That's un-fucking-believably offensive, insensitive, and just plain shitty and I don't have any more time for it.
