What things are like elsewhere or in the past has no bearing on the absolutely horrendous state of both sexual and physical violence against women in this country, to say nothing of the abysmal levels of discrimination and misogyny. If you think that is "winning the war" you are certifiably insane. And how on earth is trying to address all of those very real injustices creating a "female-centered" perspective on society?
Newsflash buddy - the current culture of masculinity is harmful to men too. Even the American Psychiatric Association recognizes that. This isn't about whether or not feminism is a "perfect" movement, it's about whether or not there isn't a very dire and present need for our culture to change because women are suffering (as are men).
