While it's true that sometimes women lose respect for men who demonstrate vulnerability - one of the many ways that patriarchy screws us all over - the fact remains that men and boys are systemically trained out of vulnerability and you deciding that isn't the case doesn't negate the huge amount of research that has documented this, including coming directly from men's own accounting of what this culture demands of them. The epidemic of male loneliness and suicide is a direct result of this very dynamic.
